The workshop 'The supply chain of hydrogen electric vehicles', that WaterstofNet and AutomotiveNL organised last week, proved to be a great success. Some 100 people attended the workshop at the Automotive Campus in Helmond, the Netherlands. The workshop was organised as part of the Interreg Vlaanderen-Nederland project 'Waterstofregio 2.0'.

High-quality presentations were given by Vincent Mattelaer (Toyota Motors Europe, vehicles), Gert Nelissen (Borit, bi-polar plates), Dries Boereboom (New Cosmos, sensors), Peter Bouwman (Nedstack, fuel cells) and Geert Nouwen (Optimum CPV, vessels). The attendees greatly appreciated the detailed presentations. The focus of the event was technology and safety. The organisers were pleased to see so many new faces, which shows that the supply chain sector got interested in (manufacturing) parts for fuel cell cars.

The attention for hydrogen in mobility applications is growing and it is important to link the targets of the international leading companies with the regional ambitions and competences. Bringing together companies, competences and ambitions is one of the key-targets of Waterstofregio 2.0.
