Germany invests €588 million in H2Global tenders with Australia and Canada

Germany’s economy ministry has committed €588 million to H2Global tenders with Canada and Australia, aiming to boost green hydrogen exports to Europe. With additional funding from both countries, the total tender volume could reach €1.2 billion. H2Global uses a double auction system, starting with procurement contracts awarded to producers via tenders. The purchased hydrogen is then resold in Germany or other European nations through auctions to the highest bidders. Grants cover the gap between the purchase and resale prices, ensuring financial viability. Click here for more information.
