The Dutch cabinet assigns 354M€ to hydrogen production and import

On 17 September 2024 (Prinsjesdag) the government announced its main plans for the coming year.

With the Climate Fund (Klimaatfonds) and the SDE-funding tool, the Netherlands continues its investments in the energy transition. Specifically for hydrogen production and importation, 354M€ is foreseen for the coming year.

Within the Climate Fund, another 275M€ is available, via different funding mechanisms such as DEI+, for supporting innovations in the Dutch industry to make it more climate neutral.
