Vioneo to start fossil-free plastics production in Antwerp based on renewable methanol
... and they receive the support of Vopak Belgium and Port-of Antwerp-Bruges in doing this. The port authority announced this itself on their website. Vioneo intends to establish its first production complex in Antwerp within the Vopak Energy Park. The first production complex represents a €1.5 billion investment with final investment decision possible in 2025. Fully operational, the plant aims to be able to produce c. 300,000 tonnes of fossil-free plastics annually, corresponding to a reduction of 1.5 million tons of CO2 emissions.
