Demonstration of hydrogen forklift trucks
Hydrogen region 2.0

Based on the experiences with testing hydrogen forklift trucks within the project "Hydrogen Region Flanders - South Netherlands", Colruyt Group has decided to carry out a larger demonstration.

Colruyt Group has scaled up the fleet to 75 lift trucks. Such a large fleet, unique for Flanders and the Netherlands, provides additional insights into the operational experiences in a logistics center. In 2016, as an extension to the existing petrol station, "indoor" dispensers were installed for the demonstration of the forklift trucks. In this way, the forklifts can be refueled faster.

As project coordinator of Hydrogen Region, WaterstofNet has assisted in this process in collaboration with the partners and Interreg.
