Sloop on hydrogen

2013- 2017

Within the Interreg project 'Hydrogen Region Flanders - South Netherlands' a sloop, which was initially equipped with an electric drive with batteries, was converted with a fuel cell and hydrogen tanks.

A small hydrogen refuelling point was realized to be able to refuel the sloop with hydrogen.

The role of WaterstofNet

WaterstofNet supervised the project and was responsible for the hydrogen refuelling point.

Outcome 

The zero-emission sloop was deployed on Lake 'het Veerse Meer' (NL) from 2013 to 2017 during the sailing season.
