Messer and Toyota form a joint-venture in Germany on green hydrogen fuel cell vehicles
The investment department of Toyota has formed a new joint venture with industrial gases company Messer, that will produce and supply green hydrogen and provide fuel cell vehicles in Europe. The new company is called SympH2ony. Different fuel cell mobility applications are envisaged, including public buses, trucks, taxis and port cargo handling equipment.
The joint venture wants to offer ‘comprehensive solutions for switching to environmentally friendly hydrogen-powered vehicle fleets, to companies, cites, municipalities and port operators’, as described by Messer.
