John Cockerill becomes supplier for India's largest ammonia complex
At the end of August, AM Green, an Indian energy transition solutions provider, made the final investment decision (FID) for its first one-million-ton green ammonia project (1.3 GW of alkaline electrolyzers), located in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh – with John Cockerill also playing a key role. Indeed, John Cockerill Hydrogen will supply advanced pressurized alkaline electrolyzers with a 640 MW capacity. Thanks to the location's ability to generate 24/7 renewable energy from a combination of wind and solar power, alongside pumped hydro storage, the project aims to produce low-cost green hydrogen.
